FCS Cricket Team Reaches Quarter Finals

FCS Cricket team started its campaign to win the Reebok Cup 2005 in style. In its first outing, they beat NDTV by 6 wickets in a match played on 30th Jan 2005 at the Central Sectt. ground, Chanakyapuri. . NDTV won the toss and elected to bat first. Some fine bowling performance by FCS Club heroes - Aun Chaudhary, Mohan, Rohit Bhaskar and Vinay, seriously rocked the NDTV team. As the whole team was bundled out for 106 runs in 21 overs.

FCS team was given a good start by Parakh Kapoor when they started the run chase but then 4 wickets fell cheaply. But Captain Rajeev Trehan played a captains knock along with Harjeet Singh to stir our team to victory. Rajeev Trehan was declared the Man of the Match for his crucial knock.

FCS cricket team played really well on their way to quarterfinals. In pre quarterfinals they beat NTPC by 40 runs in a match played on the 26th Feb 2005 at Central Sectt Ground. NTPC won the toss and asked FCS to bat first. In this match also Rajeev gave a flying start to FCS team. With some good partnerships, FCS team made a total of 170 runs in 25 overs. The good batting was complimented by fine bowling performance from Mohan and Rahul, Parakh and Rohit. In the end NTPC was restricted to 130 runs for 8 wickets in 25. After beating NTPC in quarterfinals FCS team is all set to meet stalwarts GE team in quarterfinals to be played on March 5, 2005. We all wish our team a very best of luck for the quarterfinals and all the other matches to be played.
