Dear Fellows,
Some good things that get jammed but then if we have perseverance,
we keep trying to get them started. After an unwanted break of
few months, Reflections is back with Kumud driving the initiative.
Just like most things in life, this newsletter will be as good
as participation from all of you. So cheer up and put a pen to
your head! Let others in company also know about your hidden written
talents.
From last few months, FCS has been gearing up to grow. As an IT
industry practice, all Software companies need to build and develop
an established infrastructure, before taking up big client orders.
In order to meet the same, FCS has also bought up land in Chandigarh,
Dehradun, and Noida; to set up enhanced additional development
facilities.
The construction project on Chandigarh and Dehradun land will
soon start within next 30-45 days; and its first phase will be
over by March 2007. We have been recently rated remarkably high
in media, specifically in famous magazines like Dataquest and
Dalal Street. But this is just a beginning, since I think FCS
is a very young company and we still have a lot more to learn
and grow. Also, I believe that we are on a right track form last
so many years and further intend to stay on the same; until we
achieve our final goals.
One of our key objectives is to build FCS as a fun work place,
where people respect and adore each other. Always remember, respect
commands itself and it can neither be given nor withheld when
it is due. We are all-together to help each other grow and enjoy;
not only in workplace; but also in personal lives.
Someone has well said, ‘Physical violence hurts from outside,
but bitter words whether verbal or written, hurt people from inside.’
My personal experience is that when someone uses nasty language
or is mean and indifferent to others, then that person can also
never sleep well. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.
In fact, the greatest blessing is peaceful land, peaceful nation,
peaceful cities, and peaceful work places. Unfortunately recently,
we have failed on this front and I want to draw everyone’s attention
to this crucial aspect of FCS core value – Respect and Trust in
your colleagues. Granted, not all are equally capable or diplomatic.
The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined
effort of each individual. Incase if any such thing happens that
is not to your liking; kindly bring it to my notice and I promise
to find a solution that is acceptable to all.
As always, please write to me, call me, or send me e-mail. Please
do let me know if anything bothers you or something needs to be
changed for the betterment of all employees. This is your company.
We want to make FCS a company for the employees, by the employees,
and of the employees. If anyone in the company does not follow
this spirit, then let me know. My job is to ensure that all of
you stay focused on your work without being bothered by any problems
or issues.
In addition, I would like to tell that participation is the one
of the most effective way to make your workplace a better place,
a place where you want to come down everyday, not only to challenge
your intellects or to satisfy clients, but also to make your colleagues
happy.
